A group from HIS Kids will be presenting their donation to MDA on the telethon Monday, Sept. 1st at 10AM! Watch us on WMBD TV (CBS). HIS KIDS are still saving soup labels (there is a list of all brands that will work on the bulletin board in the church parish hall). They are hoping to earn enough points to get a small laminating machine, but it takes 104,350 labels! They currently have 3100 points. 500 of those points were earned by participating in the MDA Hop-a-thon. It is our mission to give as much time and effort into the healing process for Austin and his family. Please keep the family in your prayers. Our High School Sunday school class has been working their way through “The 13 Most Important Bible Lessons for Teenagers”; (Group Publishing). Below is an example of some of the work they have been doing. After reading Mat28:18-20; Acts2:42-47 and Eph4:11-16 they each wrote one sentence to create a brief essay describing the church. Jesus instructed the apostles to recruit members to the church. When Jesus said that all authority on Earth had been given to Him, He established Himself the head of the church. They were baptized because they were doing what God had told them to do. After being baptized they became a family of God and in the church of God, they participated in fellowship with each other. Along with participating in fellowship they broke bread and communed together. They were good Christians by donating their extra things and money to the less fortunate. Through these good works we can see God’s good will in us all. They worshiped and praised God through singing and their attendance at Church. They set an example so others would go to church. Everyone has their own role in the church, that are all equally important. By working together in the church, the congregation becomes united in Christ. The things they practiced we still practice today. I am sure you will agree we have a great group of kids at St. Paul, Chenoa! Cookbook sale benefits Preschool St.
Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church of Chenoa has published a cookbook,
the proceeds of which will benefit HIS Kids Preschool. We still have many cookbooks to sell, and if you know of any upcoming events or locations that might want to sell some for us, please let Kathy, Pastor or any of the board members know. We will be happy to get them out and about! HIS Kids Preschool has reduced the price of the cookbooks by 50%. Cookbooks are now available for $10.00 rather than $20.00. They make great gifts!
